Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Strativara Consultancy Ltd, trading as Professional Digital Photography Training ("PDPT", "we", "us"), collects and uses your personal data. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
Account data: your name, email address and login credentials, used to create and secure your account.
Profile and kit data: the equipment, experience level and photography interests you tell us about in the sign-up questionnaire, used to tailor the coach's answers and training to you.
Coach conversations: the questions you ask (including voice recordings you submit for transcription) and the answers you receive, stored so your conversations are saved and available across your devices.
Support messages: anything you send us when you contact us, used to respond and help you.
Usage and technical data: how you use the site, plus device identifiers and IP address, used for security, fraud prevention and improving the service.
Legal basis
We process account, profile and conversation data to perform our contract with you (providing the training service). We process usage and technical data based on our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and improving it. Where we rely on consent — for example optional marketing — you can withdraw it at any time. Some processing is required to meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
Who we share data with
Service providers and subprocessors who help us run the service, such as hosting, storage and analytics providers.
Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of memberships and courses, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Payment card details are collected by Paddle, not by us.
Professional advisers (such as accountants and legal advisers) and authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
Voice and AI processing
When you ask the coach a question by voice, your recording is processed to transcribe and answer your question. Questions and answers may be processed by AI providers acting on our behalf, solely to provide the coach feature.
International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and conversation data while your account is active. When data is no longer needed — for example after you delete your account — we delete or anonymise it, except where we must keep records to meet legal obligations (such as tax records).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can edit your profile and kit details in your account at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the site. We respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls that limit who can see personal data.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and make the site work. We do not use marketing cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in from working.
